Eco3D Standard

Eco3D Standard is a three dimensional representation of the real world. Within this environment non-technical personnel can recreate business activities by dragging and dropping pre-existing devices from the electronic library (eCat). The devices can then be positioned with millimetre accuracy to the correct locations.

Once the devices have been correctly positioned and the parameters configured, the calculations can be executed. Eco3D uses an Activity Based Cost Model to accurately predict future energy consumption and Carbon Footprints.

Once the calculations have been completed the results can be viewed in a variety of different formats, these include PDF reports, Excel Spreadsheets and Graphs.

After completing the calculations for the current state of business, Eco3D allows for different scenarios to be tried and tested. These can be factors such as changing to use Energy Saving light bulbs. In this example the user would delete the current light bulbs and drag in the Energy Saving bulbs from the library. The calculations can then be executed and the results of the current state can be compared to the future sate, to see savings in terms of Energy Consumed, Carbon Footprint and Finance.

Eco3D Standard also allows for efficiency savings to be achieved in a vast number of different ways. By trialing new floor plans and layouts, new best practises can be created.  Changes are then easy to implement as staff can be shown the existing system, and then shown the improved scenario.  This is one aspect where the 3D nature becomes invaluable as it is far more immersive and engaging than a spreadsheet.
